One stabbed in altercation

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One person was stabbed after a brief altercation downtown.

Saturday night, just before 11 p.m., an altercation on the Crawford Street Landing led to a man being stabbed in the upper left chest. The man’s wounds do not appear to be life threatening.

A male was taken into custody related to the event. The man has been seen staying in that area for the past three weeks or so.

This appears to be an isolated incident between those two individuals. It is unclear at this point what led to the confrontation.
