School superintendent’s contract is extended and salary raised
The Vicksburg-Warren School District has extended the superintendent’s contract and given him a raise.
In its meeting last week, the district Board of Trustees voted unanimously to extend Superintendent Chad Shealy’s contract through 2023, numerous media are reporting.
Shealy’s pay has also been raised from $168,800 to $180,000 annually.
He has held the job since October 2013 and was originally hired for a salary of $120,000.
Shealy indicated he was humbled by the board’s support, and that he believes it is his privilege to serve the Vicksburg community.
