VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Spencer Ryan Carney (Moose), age 37, passed away on January 19, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1988, in Rogers, Arkansas.

Spencer was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Carney, son, Noah Eric Henke (14), who was the pride and joy of his life.

He is also survived by his father, Joseph Newman (Stephanie); his mother, Kimberly (Parks) Newman; his sister, Kortni Wigley (Tyler); and his brother, Immanuel Newman. Spencer was a proud uncle to his nephew, Braxton Wigley, and niece, Kammie Wigley. He is further survived by his maternal grandfather, John Parks, and his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Breland.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jackie Parks.

Spencer attended and graduated from Porter’s Chapel Academy in Vicksburg, where he proudly played both baseball and football. Sports were an important part of his life, especially baseball, which remained a lifelong passion. He was also a devoted and loyal Arkansas Razorback fan.

Following high school, Spencer attended Hinds Community College, where he earned his welding certification. He worked as a certified welder and was known for his strong work ethic, skill, and dedication to providing for his family.

Spencer will be remembered for his love of sports, his hardworking nature, and most of all, his deep love for his children and family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Coach Randy Wright. A Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Zack Branan, Brian Culley, Tyler Wigley, Judd Mims, Cole Smith, and Hayden Hales.
