VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A break-in at Taco Casa on Highway 27 on Thursday led to a swift arrest after the Warren County Sheriff’s Office published surveillance footage of the suspect.

According to Warren County Sheriff, Martin Pace, employees opening the restaurant Thursday morning discovered that the building had been entered through a service door. A small amount of cash and novelty T-shirts displayed on the sales counter were reported missing.

Detective Zack Primeaux and Lt. Stacy Rollison reviewed surveillance video and released footage to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, asking the public for help identifying the suspect. Within minutes, a citizen contacted authorities with a name.

Almost simultaneously, Deputy Joseph Stubbs also identified the suspect, having made official contact with her days earlier in an unrelated matter.

Very shortly after the Sheriff’s office released a BOLO for the suspect, Vicksburg police located and apprehended Autumn Stout on south Washington Street, where she was then transferred over to WCSO investigators. Stout was booked on charges of business burglary and petit larceny.

Stout is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to make her initial appearance in Justice Court this afternoon. According to booking officers, she stated that she does not have a permanent address.
