The Jackson’s open Studio 211 Beauty & Barbershop in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Married couple Bo and Kenisha Jackson have opened Studio 211 Beauty & Barbershop, bringing a fresh, community-focused salon and barbershop to Vicksburg. The couple launched the business a few months ago after taking a leap of faith to pursue their dream of ownership.

“We’ve grown and decided to run our own establishment, creating a hub for like-minded professionals in a chill-vibe atmosphere,” Kenisha said.

Kenisha, a versatile stylist, offers a wide range of hair services tailored to her clients’ needs, while Bo is an experienced barber. Both specialize in multicultural hair care.

“My main focus is the health of the hair because if the hair is where it needs to be, all of the other stuff will follow,” Kenisha said. “If there’s something that my clients want, I have the expertise to tell them, ‘That’s not a good idea right now,’ and they know they’re in good hands because of my versatility.”

Since opening, the Jackson’s have seen positive feedback from clients, citing excellent customer service and strong communication as key reasons for the business’s early success.

Studio 211 is open Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only. However, Bo accepts walk-ins after 5 p.m. The couple also welcomes professionals who are interested in working alongside them and encourages anyone interested to reach out.

“We’re looking for like-minded individuals,” Kenisha said. “This is a great space, and it could be beautiful for you.”

With over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, the Jackson’s pride themselves on their dedication to clients and have created a relaxed, supportive environment inside their studio.

In addition to running their business, the Jackson’s are committed to giving back to the community. This week, they hosted a Back to School event to provide school supplies to local families.

“It’s a small gesture, but it’s something we felt was important to do for those who may need extra supplies right before school starts,” they said.
