FAYETTE, Mississippi – June 28, 2024 – The Jefferson County School District is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mrs. Tomekia L. Wise as the Principal of Jefferson County Middle School for the upcoming academic year.

A distinguished educator with over two decades of experience in the field of education, Mrs. Wise is a proud alumna of Port Gibson High School and Alcorn State University. Her academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Elementary Education, and an Education Specialist in School Leadership and Supervision.

Having served as the assistant principal of Jefferson County Elementary School for the past two years, Mrs. Wise has consistently exhibited exceptional leadership qualities and a steadfast commitment to academic excellence. Her dedication to fostering meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents has been pivotal in the success of Jefferson County Elementary School.

Mrs. Wise is a devoted wife and mother of four, finding joy in her family and drawing inspiration from them every day. Her favorite quote, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop,” by Confucius, reflects her unwavering belief in the potential of every student to succeed through perseverance and support.
