It’s been 10 years since human remains were discovered in Sharkey County, Mississippi. On January 8, 2014, the skull of a young child was found within a drainage canal off Highway 14.

A DNA test confirmed that the child was an African American male who was 5-7 years old at the time of his death and that he was born between 2000-2004. The child likely died between 2007-2012.

The child likely had relatives in the area but his death remains a mystery after 10 years.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is in charge of this case.

If anyone has information, they should contact MBI at 601-987-1530.
