Vicksburg man offering $5,000 reward for the safe return of his dog

VICKSBURG, Miss. – A Vicksburg man is offering a $5,000 reward for the safe return of his dog. Greg Pickering made a Facebook post on Wednesday indicating that his puppy was like family.

“I have a 5 thousand dollar reward on my baby to come home. All I’m asking is whoever got my baby return her the money is good. This puppy is like one of my kids,” Pickering said in the post. “Whoever took her look at it as you lost your kid in Walmart parking lot and you have no clue were they are or if they’re in good hands with a complete stranger.”

The dog was stolen from Pickering’s truck which was in the Wal-Mart parking lot on January 6, 2025.

A witness said they saw a black or blue Honda Accord with tag that says “Tag Applied For” on it leaving with the dog.
