VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Carlon D. Ross, a Vicksburg resident and minister, has released a new book titled A Cry for Help: The Journey to True Freedom, a 95-page spiritual guide aimed at helping readers break free from emotional, physical, and spiritual bondage.

The book offers practical tools and biblical principles designed to bring lasting transformation. It includes thought-provoking questions to challenge beliefs, encouragement for skeptics and seekers, and a message of unconditional love and healing through faith.

“This book is not for the typical ‘churchy’ folks who appear to have it all together,” Ross writes. “It was inspired by pain, confusion, and emotional struggle. Sometimes people are overwhelmed by life’s burdens and are afraid to ask for help out of fear of judgment. But I want readers to know: God is faithful, and it’s never too late to walk in truth and live victoriously.”

Ross emphasizes that the message applies to everyone—whether a public figure, church leader, or someone living on the streets—offering hope and healing through faith.

A native of Tallulah, Louisiana, Ross is a singer, musician, and songwriter with nearly two decades in the music industry. He has served in Christian ministry for over 15 years and currently co-leads the young adult ministry “365” with his wife, Tamyia. Together, they guide young people in their faith journey and promote authentic spiritual growth.

Ross is also a devoted husband and father of two, and he continues to seek deeper understanding of scripture while empowering others to find identity and purpose in Christ.

The book is available online and be purchased by clicking this link.
