VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Vicksburg native and Warren Central High School baseball standout Caden Cole has received his first two collegiate scholarship offers as he prepares for his junior season.

Cole, a rising junior, announced via social media on Thursday night that he received an offer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The offer comes just months after he picked up his first from East Central Community College.

Cole recently concluded a strong sophomore campaign at Warren Central, where he delivered impressive numbers at the plate. He finished the 2025 season with 32 runs, 21 hits, and 12 RBIs. His performance earned him a spot on both the Vicksburg Daily News All-County Team and the All-District Team. He was also selected to compete in the Magnolia State Games of Mississippi, a showcase event for top high school talent across the state.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Randy Broome, Cole played a key role for the Vikings as they clinched their third consecutive district championship and returned to the North State playoffs for the second straight year.

Although the high school season has ended, Cole has remained active and focused, currently participating in summer baseball to further develop his skills and prepare for the upcoming season.

With two offers already on the table and more likely to come, Cole is quickly emerging as one of the top baseball prospects in the region for the 2027 class. His continued progress is drawing attention from programs across the state.
