Warren County man arrested on multiple drug and gun charges

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (VDN) — A Warren County man has been arrested on a string of drug and gun charges following a joint investigation by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Vicksburg Police Department.
Deputies arrested Brandon Dax Freeman, 58, after an undercover operative with the sheriff’s office purchased methamphetamine from him. Jeff Merritt led the investigation.
A warrant for Freeman’s arrest, along with a search warrant for his residence, was issued. Merritt, Dusty Keyes, Zack Primeaux, Ron Kinard, and Donnie Heggins served the warrant at 117 Freeman Road in the Flowers community.
During the search, deputies seized about an ounce of crystal meth and a handgun. Freeman has been charged with possession of meth, sale of meth, and possession of a weapon after a felony conviction.
Freeman appeared before Judge James Jefferson, who set bond at $100,000. However, the Warren County District Attorney’s Office placed a no-bond detainer on him, and he remains in the Warren County Jail.
Freeman has prior convictions for property and drug crimes. At the time of his arrest, he was out on bond for a previous sale of meth charge.
