11-year-old boy killed in an ATV accident in Mississippi

An 11-year-old boy was killed in an ATV accident in Moss Point, Mississippi on Saturday. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Griffin Street.

Police officials confirmed that the child crashed into a utility pole in an attempt to avoid another vehicle. He was taken to Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula but eventually died from his injuries.

The deceased is from Florida and was visiting family in Mississippi at the time of his death.
