16-year-old injured at Aeolian

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A 16-year-old was injured at the Aeolian Apartments this evening after a gun was fired.

Vicksburg police responded to the Aeolian just before 7 p.m. after a report of a 16-year-old being injured by gunfire. Once the units entered the apartment on the second floor, they were informed that the male had been transported by private vehicle to an area hospital. Initial reports indicated the shooter was in a vehicle outside the apartment complex, but no one was found.

This is the third incident where a person was injured by gunfire in the past two days. A man was hit multiple times on Grammar Street Monday night. He is in stable condition. Another man was hit in a drive-by in the 2900 block of Washington Street earlier today in what is being described as a targeted attack.
