97 and 94-year-old killed in a home invasion

A tragedy occurred on Thursday in Meridian where an elderly couple was killed.

The Meridian Police Department responded to a home invasion near the intersection of 36th Avenue and North Hills Street. Upon a arrival, two people were found deceased.

Coroner Stella McMahan identified the victims as 97-year-old Miles Herrington and 94-year-old Ina Herrington. The couple was reportedly married for over  70 years.
