All for the Parks

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Some places don’t just tell our story; they are our story.

At Vicksburg National Military Park, every trail, riverbank, and
monument holds a piece of the American story. These landscapes connect
us to the past and to each other in a way few places can. Whether it’s
your first visit or your hundredth, time spent here has a way of staying
with you through shared moments and lasting memories.

That’s where Friends of VNMP comes in. As the park’s nonprofit
partner, we work alongside the National Park Service to preserve this
ground, support educational programs, and create meaningful experiences
for visitors of all ages. From helping maintain historic spaces to
bringing history to life through events and programming, our mission is
rooted in keeping these stories accessible and relevant.

It takes all of us, from history lovers to families making memories, to
care for the places that matter. Through your support, we’re able to
protect this landscape for those who came before us and those still to
come.

These stories deserve to be preserved, shared, and experienced for
generations. We’re proud to be part of a community that believes that.
