The Strand Theatre asks for support

Dear Patrons of Vicksburg,

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — I hope everyone got whatever they “needed” on Black Friday, Local Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. I know you “saved” a small fortune, and now you’re wondering what you could possibly do with all that money you saved.

Like so many others, we have an answer for you…

You could donate to the Westside Theatre Foundation’s ongoing efforts at the Strand. 

Our community supported operation brings arts programming of all kinds to Downtown Vicksburg: plays and musicals (such as Grease and The Rocky Horror Show this season); movies of all kinds including films with an added component; and live concerts. And all right here in downtown.

We are doing our part to make sure there is indeed “something to do;” so that Vicksburg is a better place for you to live and a more attractive place for folks considering settling here.

The Westside Theatre Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) and all donations are tax deductible.

If you have given recently, I am not asking for more, I just want to let all know there is an easy way to help fund us. You could mail a check to Westside Theatre Foundation at 717 Clay Street, Vicksburg, MS 39183, but the easiest way is to

We will use your contribution for things like licensing programming, paying our rent and utilities, and other necessary expenses.

We appreciate all your support and look forward to another year of bringing entertainment and art to our town.
