Barbara Ann Bryant

Barbara Ann Bryant, age 68, of Vicksburg, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Barbara was a loving mother, cherished Nanna, and loyal friend whose love for her family knew no bounds. She loved her children with all her heart and took great pride in sharing their accomplishments and milestones. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured every opportunity to watch them grow, cheer them on in their activities, and encourage them to go after their dreams.

Barbara had a warm smile and the kindest, most generous heart. She loved her friends and treasured the relationships she built through the years.

Barbara loved animals from an early age and held a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, who were her loyal companions and brought her comfort throughout her life. She was talented and creative and liked working with her hands. She enjoyed restoring antique furniture and crafting beautiful wreaths. Barbara also found peace and happiness outdoors. She loved tending to her beautiful flowers and caring for the many hummingbirds that frequently visited her yard.

Throughout her years-long fight with cancer, she demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and grace. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, kindness, and strength that will live on through her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will stay forever in the hearts of those who love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Louise Hollon

Barbara is survived by her son, Phillip Rhodes (Melissa) of Schlater, MS; her daughter, Aimee Hartley (Chris) of Vicksburg; her grandchildren, Summer Watkins (Blake), Hallie Whitfield (Cade), Hayden Rhodes, and Braxton Hartley; and her two great-grandchildren, Myles Watkins and Mykenna Watkins. She is also survived by her former husband and friend, Larry Bryant.
A special thank you to her wonderful nurse Jessi, lovely CNA Jennifer, and her sweet sitter Mrs Gwen.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and the family will hold a private memorial at a later date. No public funeral or memorial service will be held. Instead of gathering for a traditional service, the family invites you to privately celebrate Barbara’s  memory by doing what she loved best—sharing time with loved ones, enjoying a quiet moment in nature, or playing with your pets.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to St Jude children’s hospital or to your local animal shelter Organization both of which were dear to her heart.
