City Cinema to offer two movies this weekend
After community anticipation Vicksburg’s City Cinema is slowly opening its doors and expanding its showtimes and movie selections.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — After community anticipation Vicksburg’s City Cinema is slowly opening its doors and expanding its showtimes and movie selections.
Last weekend, the movie theater offered showtimes for Spiderman Brand New Day, The Minions and The Odyssey. Now the theater is looking ahead for the coming weekend beginning Thursday, Aug. 13.
The theater will continue to show the Marvel action packed Spider-Man movie with a screening at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening. On Friday, the movie will air at 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. For Saturday’s showtimes the movie will show at 12 noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. To round out the weekend, Sunday showtimes for Spider-Man will be 1 p.m, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The cinema hall will also feature the film, The End of Oak Street beginning Thursday. The film is described as follows:
After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.
The science fiction film stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella and Christian Convery.
The End of Oak Street shows on Thursday at 6:40 p.m. On Friday the film will begin at 4 p.m., 6:40 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday’s showtimes will be 12:10 p.m, 2:40 p.m., 5 p.m., 7:20 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. To finish the weekend the movie will show on Sunday at 1:10 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
