Alcorn State cheerleading program to host summer cheer camp

The Alcorn State University Cheerleading Program will host its Summer 2026 Commuter Middle & High School Cheer Camp from June 29 through July 2 at the Davey L. Whitney Complex on the university’s campus.

The camp is open to middle and high school cheerleaders and will focus on skill development, leadership, spirit and performance.

Registration fees are based on team size. Teams with one to nine athletes will pay $50 per athlete, while teams with 10 to 19 athletes will pay $45 per athlete. Teams with 20 to 30 athletes will pay $40 per athlete. Individual athletes may register for $50.

The deadline to register for the camp is June 19.

Camp organizers said they look forward to working with cheerleaders from across the region during the four-day event.
