All child rapist deserve the death penalty

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — All child rapist deserve the death penalty. That may be a strong statement, but harming a child for sexual fantasies is even worse, so the punishment should fit the crime.

We all despise rape in any form, but our children are off limits. We have enough criminals in the world, but those who commit perverted actions don’t deserve to walk amongst society. Robbing a child of its innocence should only be dealt with in one way: death.

When you rape a child, you deserve to die. Those actions live with them for the rest of their days. We often hear about the crime, but we rarely discuss the aftermath. Child rapists deserve death not only for the rape, but for the PTSD, the nightmares, the depression, and most of all the pain.

It’s time for Mississippi to step up. We pass laws on everything else that benefits society, so let’s make this happen. This can be a law in our state where child rapists are automatically given the needle. Our legislators are in charge of this, so let’s hold them accountable.

I don’t approve of this punishment because I’m some heartless man, but when will this ever stop? Putting to sleep a child rapist might make the next one think twice about hurting a child.

I do believe in second chances, but I also believe when it comes to this, the victim should have a say in whether the state should spare their life when they come of age. 

Some might share my views, but some might think I’m being too harsh. Either way, the rapists are the bad guys, and capital punishment should be an option.

If I am wrong for my thoughts, may God have mercy on all our souls.
