VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Mark your calendars and get ready for a bowl of chili from the Kiwanis Club of Vicksburg’s annual Chili Feast set for Friday, Feb. 13.

This is the club’s 32nd anniversary of the event. This year’s event will be at Vicksburg’s YMCA. All meals will be take-out or delivery. There will be no dine in. We will have someone in the parking lot to hand out take-out meals. The club will deliver where there are at least 10 meals to a location.

The cost for a meal is $10. A meal consists of a 12-ounce bowl of chili, a serving of shredded cheddar cheese, hot sauce, crackers, a bag of Frito corn chips and a Little Debbie Oatmeal cookie.

Typically, the club raises over $15,000 with the project and is about 95 percent of the fundraising for the year. The largest portion of the profits are used for the Key Club Scholarships.
