CLEVELAND, Miss. – A Mississippi restaurant, Leña Pizza & Bagel, is listed as one of the best pizza places in the United States according to New York Times.

This week, the New York Times recognized Leña Pizza & Bagel in a list of the 22 best pizza places in the country.

Marisol Doyle and her husband Rory co-own the restaurant in Cleveland, Mississippi. Marisol manages the kitchen operations, while Rory, a photographer by trade, handles product shots and manages the restaurant’s social media presence.

According to the New York Times report, “the pizza at Leña collapses the distance between Naples, Italy, where Marisol Doyle, the restaurant’s chef and co-owner, studied pizza making; the Mississippi Delta, her adopted home; and Sonora, Mexico, where she was born and raised.” The menu changes weekly for the restaurant.

Leña Pizza & Bagel offers pizza from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday to Saturday. They also offer bagels from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or until sell-out) on Saturday only.
