Dr. Justin Sherrod named Assistant Band Director at Jackson State University

The Sonic Boom of the South is excited to welcome Dr. Justin Sherrod as new Assistant Band Director and Instructor of Music /Director of Percussion. An alumnus of Jackson State University and a former section leader of War & Thunder, Dr. Sherrod joins the SBOTS staff July 1.

Sherrod was recently the Director of Percussion at Vicksburg High School where the drum line recently finished in second place at the “Nothing But Drums” drum line battle.
