VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School senior offensive lineman Carmelo Clark has announced his commitment to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Clark shared the news on Facebook on Saturday, informing friends, family, and teammates of his decision to join the Bulldogs’ football program.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 320 pounds, Clark has been a versatile and dominant force for the Vikings’ offensive line. Over his high school career, he has rotated between tackle, guard, and center, providing both size and leadership up front.

This season, Clark helped Warren Central secure its third consecutive district championship with a 31-7 victory over Callaway. His blocking has been instrumental in the Vikings’ offensive success, helping the team total 951 passing yards, 2,056 rushing yards, and 29 rushing touchdowns, along with eight scores through the air.

Clark plays under Head Coach Josh Morgan, who has guided the Vikings to consistent success over the past several seasons. Before choosing Mississippi Gulf Coast, Clark received more than 10 scholarship offers from programs across the region.

Warren Central will return to action Thursday night when the Vikings host Canton for Senior Night as Clark and his teammates look to continue their successful season as they wrap up the final regular game.
