Cookies for a Cause, VYP fights food insecurity in our children

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A sweet collaboration is making a big impact in Vicksburg as the Vicksburg Young Professionals (VYP) team up with Chick-fil-A for “Cookies for a Cause,” a community-driven fundraiser aimed at fighting childhood food insecurity.
“As a native of Vicksburg, I’m deeply invested in the well-being and future of our city. I wanted to serve as the Community Service Chair because I believe that when young professionals give back, we not only support those in need, we also help build a stronger, more united Vicksburg, said Community Service Chair of the Vicksburg Young Professionals, Stormy Dupre.”
For every cookie purchased at Chick-fil-A Vicksburg during June, the restaurant will donate $1 to VYP. The funds will support the group’s ongoing efforts to combat hunger through its community service initiatives.
Community service remains a core priority for VYP, which regularly engages in projects that address local needs and uplift families. The cookie fundraiser offers residents a simple way to support a critical cause while enjoying a treat.
“The Warren County Chamber of Commerce is proud to see the Vicksburg Young Professionals group taking meaningful action to uplift those most in need within our community. This is exactly the kind of engagement we envision when bringing together young professionals—we want them to connect with both the opportunities and challenges of our region and to grow into committed, forward-thinking stakeholders, said Pablo Diaz, Executive Director of the Warren County Chamber of Commerce. We commend their dedication to service and encourage other young professionals to get involved and join in this valuable network of peers striving to grow personally and professionally.”
Organizers encourage the public to spread the word and participate, turning every cookie into a contribution toward a stronger, healthier community.
