EAGLE BEND, Miss. (VDN) — The LoSto at Eagle Lake has a new owner who will reopen the local main stay in two to three weeks.

Wesley Nichols, owner of Top Dollar Pawn (the place with the gorillas out front) on Washington Street, has purchased the Eagle Lake icon. “We’re going to open in two to three weeks, waiting on licenses, permits, and that stuff,” said Nichols. “It had a reputation as a bar, and while we’re going to sell beer, we’re going to focus more on the restaurant and turning it back into a family gathering spot.”

The LoSto has been on the market for over a year, with several people showing an interest. Local Keller Williams Realtor Julie Patton Johnson was able to negotiate the deal and announced the closing, “signed and sealed,” earlier today.

In addition to restoring the LoSto as a family gathering spot at Eagle Lake, Nichols said, “We are going to offer a campground, cabins, a boat landing, fishing from the pier, and we will rent jet skis.”

“The LoSto used to be the backbone of Eagle Lake, and we’re going to bring that back. We’re going to be a restaurant that serves beer, but the LoSto at Eagle Lake will be family-friendly,” said Nichols. “Were excited to be able to bring back one of the best views of those beautiful Eagle Lake sunsets. Come grab a bite to eat, stay the night, do a little fishing and maybe even play on the jet skis with the kids of all ages.”
