Vicksburg, Miss.-Vicksburg native Jeremy Meekins has a chance to be featured in Forbes Magazine, receive a one-on-one mentoring session from Daymond John, and take home $25,000. With your vote, Meekins has the opportunity to become the “Entrepreneur of Impact” where he plans to split the money between Georgia and Vicksburg to help schoolchildren thrive and live well-nourished, and have physically active lives.

For nearly a decade, Meekins has been hosting Celebrity Basketball Game/Back to School Drive that has provided book bags school supplies to thousands of kids in his hometown and surrounding areas. Last year alone his organization packed over 1,000 book bags.

The Entrepreneur of Impact is a chance of a lifetime for Meekins to learn from one of the most successful businessmen in the world, Daymond John, who is the founder and owner of FUBU.

“This isn’t just about me,” Meekins said. “It’s about using this platform to make a greater impact and inspire others to dream big.”

Supports can vote for Meekins for free or further support him by donating to the cause. The first session ends on January 30, so let’s help keep our Vicksburg native ahead of the competition with your support.

Q&A from Meekins:

Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from seeing the resilience and creativity within underserved communities. I’m driven by the belief that innovation and opportunities can break barriers, especially for youth. The stories of individuals overcoming challenges and creating change fuel my passion for making a lasting impact.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by focusing on the lives Simply Dop3 Xperience touches-every success story fuels my drive. Seeing youth achieve their goals and witnessing the positive ripple effect in communities reminds me why I started. Also, leaning on my passion for innovation and community keeps me going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d use the $25,000 to expand Simply Dop3 Xperience by launching new programs for youth development, providing resources to underserved communities, and scaling our impact in Vicksburg and Atlanta. This funding would help us create sustainable opportunities and drive lasting change.
