VICKSBURG, Miss. – Lorelei Books will host a meet-and-greet with local author Michael Logue, author of “Echoes From the Bluffs” on Saturday, February 1, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

“Echoes From the Bluffs”, released in May of 2023 to commemorate the 160th Anniversary of the Vicksburg Campaign and Siege in 2023 and the City of Vicksburg’s Bicentennial in 2025, contains centuries of day-by-day timelines from prehistory up to Vicksburg’s place as the American Civil War’s most important outcome, followed by its tragic but successful recovery from war.

Logue, a Vicksburg Native, is a historian, award-winning author and screenwriter, lecturer, genealogy consultant and trainer. He also helped develop the themes and suggested art displays for the United States Army Corps of Engineer’s Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Interpretive Center.

This event is free and open to the public. Lorelei Books is located in downtown Vicksburg at 1103 Washington St.
