Chamber holds monthly luncheon, focuses on entrepreneurs

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg-Warren Chamber of Commerce held its monthly luncheon Wednesday, March 18 at the convention center and focused on encouraging entrepreneurship.

Hosted by Vicksburg-Warren Partnership President and CEO Pablo Diaz, the luncheon invited a panel of local leaders to speak on the opportunities for small business owners in Warren County.

The panel consisted of Mayor Willis Thompson, City of Vicksburg Mayor; Jim Harper, Mississippi Small Business Development Center; Tasha Bibb, MSU @ MCITy; Dr. Terence James, Vicksburg Warren School District; and Kendra Reed, Vicksburg Warren Chamber of Commerce, Chairwoman, Economic Development.

The panel spoke about how their organizations are working collaboratively to support entrepreneurs, provide resources, and create pathways for business growth in Vicksburg. From education and mentorship to funding resources and community leadership, event highlighted how the ecosystem helps new businesses launch and existing businesses succeed.
