Holmes tops Coahoma 53-14; Knight scores first collegiate touchdown

CLARKSDALE, Miss. (VDN) — Holmes Community College rolled to a 53-14 win over Coahoma Community College on Thursday night.

Vicksburg native DeCorey Knight Jr. scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 44-yard pass from Chase Richardson in the third quarter. Knight, who set Vicksburg High School’s career rushing record in 2024, led the Bulldogs on the ground with 69 yards on six carries. He also had 48 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Holmes controlled the game from the start, jumping out to a 25-7 lead in the first quarter and never looking back.
