Mississippi State University has provided a video of how to properly drip a water faucet.
For the next several days starting at 3 a.m. Sunday morning, Vicksburg and Warren County will be below freezing until at least Thursday according to the most recent prediction. That means that exposed water pipes will have a greater chance of bursting open due to the effect on the tubing that supplies the water. Copper pipes are especially susceptible to damage.
The Mississippi State University Extension for Real Life has created a video on how to properly drip a faucet to increase the likelihood of saving those pipes and a few dollars.
