Inmate escaped from the Madison Parish Jail

The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who escaped custody on Saturday morning.

43-year-old Marquis Deronta Thomas is the inmate who escaped after being arrested on narcotics’ warrants. He is believed to have escaped through a doorway normally not accessible to inmates.

Thomas is black male, about 6’2” inches tall and 190 pounds.

MPSO is investigating on how Thomas escaped and if anyone knows his whereabouts should call 911.
