Mississippi Blood Services: Less than one day’s worth of blood left

The holidays combined with the recent cold weather throughout the South has had a critical impact on the current blood supply for the state, according to Mississippi Blood Services.  There is less than one day’s supply left on their shelves.

They are in desperate need for the following types:

• O Negative
• O Positive
• B Negative
• B Positive
• A Negative

If you are A Positive or AB Positive, they ask that you please go in to donate platelets.
