Mississippi man arrested for stabbing his mother

A Clarke County, Mississippi man has has been arrested after a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday.

Dennis Gates Jr. is accused of stabbing his mother multiple times at a home south of DeSoto on Highway 145. His mother was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Gates was immediately arrested and charges are now pending.
