One killed on Bowmar Monday night

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One person was shot and killed on Bowmar Avenue Monday night.

According to multiple accounts, a black male was shot and killed on Bowmar near Yerger, just west of Halls Ferry, at about 10 minutes to midnight on Monday.

Numerous police, fire, and a medic unit were dispatched to the scene. Vicksburg Police Investigator Lionel Johnson was also observed at the crime scene.

This is early in the investigation, and the Vicksburg Daily News will provide more information as it is made available.
