Transport Drivers Desperately Needed To Help Shelter Dogs Get To Illinois

Published

A Hattiesburg shelter called Southern Pines Animal Shelter is desperately looking for drivers to help transport their dogs up north so they can have a better chance of getting adopted.
This trip could save these dogs’ lives and get them out of the shelter and to a place where they can find their forever home!
The shelter urgently needs drivers for an EmBark transport trip to Illinois this upcoming Thursday. The trip would leave at 5:00 p.m.
The shelter posted on Facebook saying,
“This transport is a crucial opportunity for dogs like Pawla Dean for whom trips like these are a second chance at finding their own loving families. The shelter covers the cost of gas, lodging, and a daily allowance for driver snacks/meals, but we can’t do it without drivers like you!”
Southern Pines has future trips scheduled for December 21st and January 4th if you’re able to help on either of those dates!
According to the shelter’s website,
“Southern Pines’ purpose is to nurture the bond between people and pets through community, compassion, and collaboration to forget a path toward sustainable, responsible, and community-driven lifesaving.”
The shelter is located at 1901 N. 31st Avenue Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Their phone number is 601-544-6632.
Email skrock@sopines.org to sign up and help give these dogs a shot at finding a home!
