VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Tyler Henderson, a Vicksburg native, has signed a collegiate football scholarship to Kennesaw State University. KSU announced the news on their social media page, saying how excited they are to have Henderson join the Owls’ program.

Henderson recently starred at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he led the nation in receiving yards. He recorded 68 receptions, averaged 109.3 yards per game and scored 12 touchdowns. He finished the season with 1,228 receiving yards and 13 total receiving touchdowns, earning a spot on the All-Region Team.

Henderson helped lead the Bulldogs to a 9-2 record and a MACCC championship appearance in 2025. Known for his playmaking ability, he is expected to be a significant addition to Washington State’s offense.

A 2024 graduate of Vicksburg High School, Henderson was considered underrated at the prep level. He quickly changed that perception in college, becoming one of the top junior college prospects in the nation after two standout seasons at Gulf Coast.

Henderson chose Kennesaw State over more than 30 Division I offers. He will play under new head coach Jerry Mack.
