VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Warren Central rolled past Saltillo 5-0 on Tuesday night in the first round of the playoffs, improving to 17-4-1 on the season under coach Greg Head.

The Vikings broke through in the opening 20 minutes when a Saltillo own goal gave Warren Central an early advantage. Jonah Artman added to the lead just before halftime, finding the net to send the Vikings into the break up 2-0.

Nick Lee extended the margin shortly after halftime with his lone goal of the night. Artman then took over, scoring twice more to complete a hat trick and cap the scoring.

Goalkeeper Mahamed Shuaibi recorded six saves to preserve the shutout.
