VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Both Warren Central High School soccer teams saw their seasons come to an end Tuesday night after road losses in the North State Championship round.

The Lady Vikes fell 1-0 in double overtime to Saltillo in their bid for a championship. The 2026 season marked the third consecutive year Saltillo eliminated Warren Central in the third round of the playoffs.

Despite the loss, Warren Central finished with a 14-8-1 record under head coach Jeremy Lawrence. The Lady Vikes reached the North State round for the third straight season and claimed their district championship for the third consecutive year.

On the boys side, the Vikings dropped a 3-0 decision to Center Hill in the North State round. The loss closed the season with a 19-5-1 record under head coach Greg Head.

Warren Central finished second in district play but advanced to North State for the third year in a row. During that three-year stretch, multiple players signed to compete at the collegiate level following graduation.

With another successful season complete, Warren Central’s soccer program will look to make another postseason run next year.
