HATTIESBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Warren Central edged West Jones 4-3 on Saturday at Lamar Sportsplex.

The Vikings secured the match by winning four of the seven courts, sweeping both boys and girls doubles action.

In singles play, Corbin Crews fell to Ethan Allbritton 6-0, 6-1 in Boys Singles No. 1. In Girls Singles No. 2, Marlee Solomon dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Marley Brown.

Warren Central responded with a strong showing in doubles.

In Boys Doubles No. 1, Gray Lampkin and Brady Taylor earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory, finishing with a 10-6 tiebreak, over Bradley Murray and William Taylor. Luke Bond and Duke Esparza added another point in Boys Doubles No. 2 with a 7-5, 6-2 win against Kobe Price and Sam Morgan.

The Lady Vikes also swept their doubles matches. In Girls Doubles No. 1, Sydney Sullivan and Lilli Feibelman defeated Sydney Russell and Blaire Yaden 6-3, 6-2. Avery Hern and Annie Tucker Hossley followed with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Reese Yoder and Mary Segrest Taylor in Girls Doubles No. 2.

West Jones picked up its final point in mixed doubles, where Sam Harris and Ellie Tennison fell to Joe Anna Spears and Carter Burroughs 6-3, 7-5.

With the 4-3 win, Warren Central claimed the narrow road victory behind a dominant performance in doubles play.
