WC freshmen improved to 5-0 after defeating Rosa Scott
MADISON, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School’s freshmen boys’ basketball team improved to 5-0 after defeating Rosa Scott 40-32 on the road Tuesday night. The Vikings, led by Head Coach Calvin Morgan, continued their unbeaten start to the season with another strong defensive performance.
Warren Central held a 17-11 lead at halftime behind the steady play of Jordan Taylor, who led the team with 14 points. Ja’Ven Lee provided an offensive spark by knocking down key 3-pointers in both the first and fourth quarters to help seal the win. He finished with 11 points.
Henry Trisby added five points for the Vikings, while Cameron Zellous contributed four. Braylen Selvy and Jordan Younger each scored three points to round out the effort.
For Rosa Scott, Tyler Gooden led all scorers with 13 points, while Aiden Patel and Lucas Povalock each added six.

Vicksburg High School freshmen defeated Germantown 51-43.
Antwuan Chiplin led with 21 points. Cayleb Logan added eight points while Gerrick Durrell and Chareck Cable both scored five points. Daylen Atkins put up four points and Daylon Washington had two point.
