WC pulls off another district win over Neshoba Central

VICKSBURG, Miss.—Warren Central High School’s baseball team remains undefeated in district play after defeating Neshoba Central 4-3 on Thursday night. Tonight’s win marks the second time this week that the Vikings beat the Rockets.

NHS got the first two runs in the game, one in the second inning and one in the third.
The fifth inning was the magic touch that WC needed as they picked up four runs, beginning with a walk from Trace Hood. Blake Caruthers helped the Vikings take the lead when he smashed a 3-run double to put WC up 4-2.
The Rockets were able to get on the board one more time in the sixth but WC quickly put the game away as Caden Cole came in to pitch.

Caruthers finished with two hits and three RBIs while Tristan Jamison, Maddox Lynch and Hayes Loper each had a hit.
Lynch started the game pitching and struck out two batters. Beau Bradley also came in to pitch and struck out three batters along with Cole who also struck out three.

The Vikings are now 10-8 and 4-0 in district play. They will host Germantown on Tuesday.
