Ralph Edward Lick

Ralph Edward Lick, our beloved husband, dad, pop-pop, uncle, brother, and dear friend departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his residence.

If you knew Ralph Lick, you knew he was a talker and teller of many stories. He loved to take Sunday afternoon drives in the country and “look for land” we knew he’d never purchase. He raised his children to the best of his ability and loved every one of them dearly, but what title he loved most was Pop-Pop. Ralph worked numerous years at the Warren County Sheriff’s Department under Paul Barrett and was very proud to tell people of our community that. He leaves behind many friendships gained through his time there and always had plenty of stories to share. He his preceded in death by his father Terrell James Lick his mother Ava Bland Lick, and his brother Gary Lick.

We will miss him dearly but know he is rejoicing in the streets of gold singing “Victory in Jesus”, playing the harmonica, and telling plenty of stories.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kimberly Lick, his son Brian Lick (Leighann), daughters Lynn Landers, Beth Hasty (Steven), Alyssa Lick, Aleah Lick, Meghin Lick (Josh), Taylor Lick (Zach), grandchildren Dylan Janotta, Maddie Lick, Kayleigh Beard, Kylan Landers, Landon Hasty, Hudson Hasty, Abbi Barrentine, Shelbi Hasty, Kimberlynn Wages, Kolsen Wages, and Kyndall Barnes, brothers James “Teeter” Lick, Paul Lick, and Ronnie Lick, sisters Jane Muirhead and Regina Lindsey, mother-in-law Diane Curd and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M. with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M.

Oh… and one more thing.. he never forgot to tell us “It’s a jungle out there”.
