Frank John Cassino Jr. 1947-2026

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Frank John Cassino Jr., 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Lynn Haven, FL on April 16, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Born October 11, 1947 in Vicksburg, MS, Frank worked in civil engineering and retired with 40+ years of service. In his retired years, he enjoyed watching Nascar and his Mississippi State Bulldogs on the weekends, and spending time with his grandkids.

Frank is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ouida Farish Cassino, his best friend and dedicated life partner; his son, Brian Cassino (Ashley); his step-son, Chris Fuller (Nikki), step-daughter, Kelly Moore (Jason); his grandchildren, Sophie Sowell (Trent), Emma Fox (John), Daniel and Jonathan Cassino, Megan and Lance Fuller, Brandon, Mackenzie, and Madelyn Moore. He is also survived by his sister, Sherrie McCaffrey (Pat) and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cassino Sr and Ruby Husbands Cassino and his sisters, Donna Vinson, Niki Lewis (Howard), and Tina Henson (Joe).

Services will be held at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Ave Vicksburg, MS 11 AM on Friday, April 24, 2026. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel and Jonathan Cassino, Lance Fuller, Brandon Moore, Kelly McCaffrey, Wes Massey, and Howard Lewis.
