Father Robert Dore, a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jackson, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 71. Funeral services will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home and St. Michael Catholic Church in Vicksburg.

Father Robert Dore, a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jackson, died Thursday, Sept. 24, following a brief battle with cancer. He was 71.
Dore was born Oct. 16, 1954.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Thursday, Oct. 1
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 145 Highway 80 in Vicksburg.
A funeral Mass will follow at noon at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vicksburg.
Friday, Oct. 2
A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Mary in Natchez.
