Remembering Dorothy Louise Dees Upton Toler, who passed away at 97. Celebrate her life, family, and artistic passions.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Dorothy Louise Dees Upton Toler died Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the age of 97. She was born in Laurel, Miss., in 1929 to the late Dyle H. and Edna Mae Jordon Dees.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters: Ruth Dees Smith Bishop, Jean Dees Grant Walker, Ann Dees Reeves, and Peggy Dees Flowers.; and her husband David Toler.
Survivors include her only son Cranford J. Upton Jr. (Johnny Upton); grandchildren Kaysie Jynean Duell, Kelly Nicole Robinson and Lady Elizabeth Upton; great grandchildren Rylee Robinson, Kane Duell, Colby Duell and Katelynn Duell.
She was a member of the Goodrum Baptist Church. She loves art and enjoyed painting.
A visitation will be held at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Gardens at 3:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Rylee Robinson, Kane Duell, Colby Duell, Larry Frost, Sammy Hughes and Dustin Yuma.
