Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has announced the funeral arrangements for Vicki Roach Barnes, a longtime Chancery Court Judge in Vicksburg, who passed away on September 27, 2026. Public visitation and funeral services are scheduled for early October.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has announced funeral arrangements for longtime Chancery Court Judge Vicki Roach Barnes, who died Sept. 27, 2026. She was 77.
Barnes attended Tougaloo College and the University of Mississippi School of Law. She served for more than 31 years as a chancery court judge and was the longest-serving chancery court judge in Mississippi.
Public visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home’s Mildred W. Willis Memorial Chapel, 2102 Clay St. in Vicksburg.
A rosary and family hour will also be held Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be held Monday, Oct. 5, at noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1512 Main St. in Vicksburg.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, 191 U.S. 80 in Vicksburg.
