2nd Annual Run 4 Jesus
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The 2nd Annual Run 4 Jesus 5K will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., on the Mississippi River Bridge in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Hosted by S.W.A.G. Ministries, this powerful community event brings people together for more than just a race—it’s about faith, recovery, and real transformation. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the recovery community, including S.W.A.G. Ministries and Serenity House Sober Living for Women, helping provide housing, support, and a path forward for individuals overcoming addiction.
Participants can choose between run or walk categories, making this event open and accessible to all fitness levels. Whether you’re competing, walking in support, or showing up for someone you love, there is a place for you in this movement.
Race day will begin with packet pickup at 6:30 AM, followed by racer line-up at 7:45 AM, a prayer at 7:55 AM, and the official start at 8:00 AM.
“This run is about more than miles,” said Trey White, event organizer and founder of Meth 2 Marathons. “It’s about people finding freedom. It’s about showing that recovery is possible. Every step on that bridge represents leaving the past behind and stepping into something better.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and organizations looking to make a direct impact in the recovery community. Come run. Come walk. Come support. Come be part of something bigger than yourself.
