He was a free spirit with a kind heart, an unforgettable laugh, and a way of bringing life into the room with him. He collected experiences instead of possessions and memories instead of things. That was simply who he was.

He loved the mountains and music, playing golf, being outdoors, and seeing live music whenever he could. He was a skilled carpenter whose craftsmanship was another reflection of his creativity and talent.

More than anything, he loved people. He was trusting and deeply loyal, with a way of seeing the good in everyone. He was funny and full of life, with an infectious laugh that those who knew him will never forget. He could turn an ordinary moment into a memory simply by being himself.

He was deeply loved by his family and held a special place in the lives of so many. He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Rowland; his father, Don Rowland; his grandparents, Pat and Janie Daughtry, and Sue Tolbert; his siblings, Hunter (Baylee) Rowland and Tori (Brandon) Teller; his niece, Harper Rowland; his nephew, Winston Rowland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dale Tolbert.

There will never be enough words to capture an entire life or everything he meant to the people who loved him. But he will be remembered in so many places: in the mountains he loved, in a round of golf on a beautiful afternoon, in the crowd at a live show, in a Grateful Dead song on the radio, and in the stories that will be told about him for years to come.

His family will remember his kind heart, his adventurous spirit, his laughter, and the way he loved. The world feels different without him in it, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain.

Fare you well, fare you well.

We love you more than words can tell. – The Grateful Dead
