Remembering Shirley Keyes Wilson, a beloved teacher and mother who impacted many lives in Tallulah, La. and beyond.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Shirley Keyes Wilson passed away Thursday, Sept. 17, at her home in Tallulah, La. She was born March 12, 1939, in Winnfield, La., to Howard Sylvester and Bertha Lee Fletcher Keyes.
Wilson attended First Baptist Church in Tallulah where she was loved by everyone in her Sunday School class. She worked in the school system as a teacher’s aid for over 30 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Wilson is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank “Bilbo” Wilson; her son, Greg Michael Wilson, and her brother, Billy Keyes. She is survived by her son, Paul Wilson, and her grandson, Sean Wilson.
Wilson will have a private, family and close friends only, graveside service under the direction or Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home.
